USA Rice Enterprise Partners

Overview

USA Rice Enterprise Partners, are those entities who both support the rice industry and depend on a healthy and vibrant rice industry for at least some of their business.

Membership

Entities involved in banking and insurance; farm inputs, equipment, and technology; crop consultant work; research institutions and other non-profits are all eligible for membership.  As are allied businesses that want to see a vibrant U.S. rice industry but don't fit into another membership category.

USA Rice Millers' Association

Overview

The USA Rice Millers' Association (RMA) is one of the oldest agri-business organizations in the U.S., founded in 1899. Then, as now, RMA is the national trade association of the U.S. rice milling industry.  RMA membership supports government affairs work as well as international market access and trade policy initiatives. 

Membership

RMA Membership is divided into two categories: Mill Members who are a proprietor, partnership, or corporation actively engaged in rice milling in the United States, and Associate Members defined as a proprietor, partnership, or corporation that which is not sufficiently and actively engaged in rice milling in the United States (i.e. traders, brokers, merchandisers, users, and allied servers) but still has a significant interest in issues that impact the rice milling industry.

USA Rice Merchants' Association

Overview

As rough rice and seed rice merchandisers, USA Rice Merchants' Association members are an important part of the U.S. rice industry, providing a market outlet for thousands of farmers in all six rice-producing states. 

Membership

Membership is divided into two categories: Merchant Members who are a proprietor, partnership, or corporation actively engaged in the storage, purchase, sale and/or hedging of rough and/or seed rice and which takes title to the rice, and Associate Members, defined as a proprietor, partnership, or corporation that which does not qualify as a Merchant Member because its activities are not sufficiently or actively related to the storage and marketing of rough rice, but still has a significant interest in issues that impact the rice merchant industry.

USA Rice Council

Overview

Through the USA Rice Council, rice farmers, dues-paying mills, and other industry members work together to support domestic and international promotion programs and market development.

Membership

Rice state promotion organizations and dues-paying mills that elect to send promotion funds to the USA Rice Council are members and allotted seats on the Board. The chairman and vice chairman of the Council MUST be rice producers.

USA Rice Farmers

Overview

USA Rice Farmers is a representative body composed entirely of rice farmers that serves as a forum for policy development on the issues that affect rice farmers.

Membership

All U.S. rice farmers are considered members of the USA Rice Farmers through participation in their state rice organizations. The Board of Directors consists of at least eight representatives from each of the major rice producing states (Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Texas).
