USA Rice Works with Mexican Importer to Spur Sales of U.S. Rice
Mexican grocery store chain Super Precio
MEXICO CITY -- Mexico's largest importer, miller and packer of U.S. rice, Schettino Hermanos, recently invited USA Rice Federation to conduct a training program for store managers of Super Precio, a chain of 450 grocery stores in Mexico. Super Precio stores are Schettino Hermanos customers located in urban areas and offer discounted prices to primarily a working class clientele. The training provided store managers with tools for conducting in-store rice promotions and helping their customers differentiate between qualities and types of rice.
Schettino Hermanos Director of Marketing and Brands Karen Reiterhart Pimentel voiced her appreciation for the training program saying, "Thank you to USA Rice for the training class presented to our client, Super Precio. Their personnel were enriched by the experience and we look forward to future collaborations."
This promotional activity is one of many where USA Rice partners with the local Mexican trade to increase sales of U.S.-grown rice in Mexico.
