Guest Events

The following tours are offered for conference registrants and registered guests only. To reserve a tour spot, advance payment is required (see the registration form). Tour times may be adjusted. Please confirm your tour time(s) at the conference registration desk when you pick up your registration packet. A limited number of spots may be available onsite. Check at the conference registration desk for availability and payment information.

Please Note: The following tours are presented by the Disney Institute take you behind the scenes. To preserve the magic, all participants must be at least 16 years old and must carry government-issued photo identification (driver's license, passport, etc.) All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Both tours involve walking. Please advise us of any special needs when registering.

Experience the special magic of the holiday season as brought to life at the Walt Disney World® Resort. This entertaining tour will showcase holiday stories and folklore behind the decorations found in the theme parks and resorts. You will gain a unique perspective on how colors, textures, architecture, illusions, and attention to detail turn the Walt Disney World® Resort into a 47-square-mile holiday wonderland. Highlights include the international traditions featured at Epcot® and the Currier & Ives-themed Yuletide at Magic Kingdom Park®. There is walking involved, so plan on comfortable shoes and attire suitable for the day's weather conditions.

Tour Includes: Guided tour, transportation and an exclusive holiday cloisonné pin as a memento. Theme park admission is not included or required. There is walking involved (see above).

Trees, shrubs and flowers play a vital role throughout the Walt Disney World® Resort. Disney landscaping has become a recognized show in itself, providing color and enjoyment throughout the year. This fascinating tour takes you to the gardens of the Epcot® World Showcase with one of the experts responsible for the horticultural “show.” You will examine Disney's principles of plant design and discover how landscaping helps develop a theme. In addition, you will discuss ways to adapt Disney's landscaping techniques at home. Plan on comfortable shoes for walking and attire suitable for the day's weather conditions.

Guest Event Cancellations and Refund Policy.
Tour spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tours have minimum and maximum sign-ups. A tour may be cancelled for lack of interest. Refunds will be issued for tours cancelled by USA Rice and/or if tour space fills up. Attendees who cancel and wish to request a tour refund must submit a cancellation notice in writing. A full refund (minus $25 for administrative costs) will be made for cancellations received through November 16. A tour refund of 50 percent (minus $15 for administrative costs) will be made for cancellation notices received November 17-30. No refunds will be made after November 30.
