Each day, issues that affect the livelihood of rice farmers are debated and decided at every level of government. The USA Rice Producers' Group is the first voice for rice farmers - composed entirely of rice farmers, working on behalf of rice farmers. This representative body assures a forum for policy development on the issues that affect rice farmers, and a voice for rice farmers to advance and implement activities to address those issues.

Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Missouri and Texas have member Producers' Groups, composed of rice farmers in the respective states. USA Rice Millers’ Association
Representing the U.S. Rice Milling Industry Since 1899

The USA Rice Millers' Association is the national trade association of the U.S. rice milling industry. Founded in 1899, RMA is one of the oldest agribusiness trade organizations in America. RMA membership, which includes farmer-owned cooperatives and privately owned mills, represents virtually all of U.S. rice milling capacity, with mill members in Arkansas, California, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Texas. RMA associate members include exporters, shippers and other businesses allied with the rice trade.

USA Rice Council
Promoting U.S.-grown Rice at Home and Around the World

Through the USA Rice Council, rice farmers, dues-paying mills and other industry members work together to steer the course for domestic and international programs, which are implemented through the USA Rice Federation. An award-winning domestic promotion program spearheads National Rice Month and other activities to increase rice use. International promotion activities are directed at increasing awareness and consumption of U.S. rice in more than 60 countries around the world. A cooperative effort between the Council and the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agricultural Service enables the rice industry to fulfill its international market development objectives.

Rice farmers in Arkansas, California and Louisiana are members of the USA Rice Council through their respective state organizations -- the Arkansas Rice Council, California Rice Commission and Louisiana Rice Council. USA Rice Merchants' Association

USA Rice Merchants' Association members are an important component of the U.S. rice industry, providing a market outlet for thousands of farmers in all six rice-producing states. As an organization, the USA Rice Merchants' Association is the first to bring rice merchandisers and related businesses together in a representative, recognized body.

Through the USA Rice Merchants' Association, members are affiliated with the USA Rice Federation, the national advocate for all segments of the U.S. rice industry. Through the Federation, merchandisers are working with producers, millers and allied businesses to increase profitability for the entire U.S. rice industry.

A broad range of Merchant and Associate Members brings depth and adds value to membership in the USA Rice Merchants' Association.

USA Rice Federation
The USA Rice Federation is the national advocate for all segments of the rice industry, conducting activities to influence government programs, developing and initiating programs to increase worldwide demand for U.S. rice, and providing other services to increase industry profitability for all industry segments.

The USA Rice Federation was formed in 1994 when the rice industry's three national associations - the USA Rice Council, U.S. Rice Producers' Group, and the Rice Millers' Association - came together to form a national umbrella organization to serve the industry as it prepares to move into the next century.

The USA Rice Federation manages two annual conferences: the USA Rice Outlook Conference in December and the Rice Millers' Association in June.

The Rice Foundation
The Rice Foundation is a 501c(3) organization, which serves as the research and education program arm for the rice industry. The Rice Foundation represents all segments of the rice industry: producers, millers, suppliers, and users. Industry wide representation fosters better communication of research and education priorities thereby enhancing response to the needs of the marketplace.
