Jan 11:  Vermilion Parish Rice School
This will be a hybrid meeting, both virtual and in-person at 8:30 a.m. CST, at the Vermilion Parish Extension Office in Abbeville. The link to view virtual presentations on various areas of production practices should be available early next week and will be made available by extension agents in rice producing parishes.

Jan 14: University of Arkansas Rice Production Meeting
Webinar begins at 1 p.m. CST, and includes presentations on variety selection and seeding rates, weed resistance, insect control, fungicides and timings, soil fertility, furrow irrigated rice, and more. Go here to register and for more information.

Jan 19: North Louisiana Rice Forum
This will be hybrid meeting, both virtual and in-person from 9-11 a.m. CST, at the West Carroll Parish Extension Office in Oak Grove. Video presentations will be available on topics including recommended rice varieties; agronomy; weed, disease, and insect control; crawfish and soybean production; and more. Jan 20: 2021 Western Rice Belt Production Conference
This free virtual event features presentations from top Extension and Research scientists and production experts from Texas on topics including herbicide resistance, insect management, conservation, water efficiency, and more. Pesticide applicators will receive 2 TDA CEUs. CCA Credits are applied for. Go here to register prior to January 20.

Jan 21 & 22: 2021 California Rice Commission Annual Grower Meeting

Jan 27: 23rd Annual Arkansas Soil & Water Education Conference
This event features virtual presentations about drone elevation data, modeling and monitoring of water resources, plant intensification, and profit vs. yield, as well as presentation of the Most Crop Per Drop and Conservationist of the Year Awards. There’s even a virtual poster competition. Check out the new website.

Feb 8: 2021 Arkansas Rice Annual Meeting
This is the largest virtual gathering of rice farmers and industry representatives from the
Arkansas River Valley to the Mississippi Delta, from Louisiana to Missouri. Go here to register and for more information.
 
Feb 10: 24th Annual Cotton and Rice Conference
Go here for information and to register for this year’s virtual meeting. Speakers include producers, researchers, and industry representatives discussing the latest technology and opportunities available.
