USA Rice Federation, U.S. Rice Producers Association to Conduct Farm Bill Educational Meeting in Missouri

ARLINGTON, VA, July 21, 2008 — USA Rice Federation and the U.S. Rice Producers Association will provide rice producers, landowners, other industry members and allied businesses, with an overview and explanation of the key provisions of the Food, Conservation and Energy Act of 2008 (the 2008 farm bill) at an educational meeting later this month. The meeting will allow industry members to get answers to questions they have about the new farm bill and its rice-specific provisions.

The meeting will be held Wednesday, July 30 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Delta Research Center, 147 State Highway T, Portageville, MO.

All rice industry members and others involved in agriculture are encouraged to attend this meeting.
