ARLINGTON, VA – USA Rice is pleased to announce that Lesley Dixon has joined the Marketing and Communications Department as Staff Writer, reporting to Michael Klein.  Her main duties will be generating original content for the USA Rice Daily and Whole Grain publications, as well as other media channels including our website and social media platforms.

Lesley’s work has been published by Meekling Press, The Texas Travesty, Text Off the Page, Collected, Gapers Block, Mutable Sound, Echo Journal, and most recently in the USA Rice Daily and Whole Grain where she wrote about this year’s Yellow Rails & Rice Festival.

“In addition to being an excellent writer, Lesley has a great intellectual curiosity that will serve her and our organization well as she explores the rice industry and helps us tell our stories,” said Klein.  “We are making the move now because as a native of Texas, she knows where we can find great Tex-Mex food in San Antonio during the Outlook Conference.”

Lesley has an MFA in Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a dual BA in English and History from the University of Texas, Austin.
