SAN DIEGO, CA -- Every year, USA Rice reaches out to restaurants in the host city of the USA Rice Outlook Conference to compile a list of local establishments that serve U.S.-grown rice. The annual promotion helps increase awareness of U.S.-grown rice with chefs and managers and then in turn their staff and customers, while proving some fine dining options to Outlook attendees. This year in San Diego is no different and members can once again look forward to an eclectic collection of well-known restaurants that satisfy every taste preference and proudly serve U.S.-grown rice.

“San Diego has more than 6,400 dining establishments and a unique mix of cultures & flavors, so there are an incredible number of options for our conference attendees to choose from while supporting our industry,” said domestic promotion manager Cameron Jacobs. “A culinary scene dominated by seafood, Mexican, and Asian cuisine provides a plethora of opportunities for both ideating U.S.-grown rice and consuming it.”

The participating establishments range from Asian fusion and Hawaiian; to American, coastal, and steakhouses and will display the “We Proudly Serve U.S.-Grown Rice” emblem provided by USA Rice on their window, front door, or host table.

“San Diego is a city that cares where their food comes from and they are committed to using locally-sourced ingredients including rice,” continued Jacobs. “That said, we know our list is just scratching the surface of the many restaurants plating U.S.-grown rice in the city, but we hope those attending the Outlook Conference will visit these restaurants that support the U.S.-rice industry and tell them thanks!”
