AMMAN, JORDAN -- Eid al-Adha, an important Islamic festivity celebrated by Muslims worldwide, ran from June 28 to July 2, and USA Rice conducted several promotional activities in conjunction with the holiday.

An eye-catching media campaign designed for outdoor platforms and featuring a local U.S. rice brand was installed on 25 billboards in Irbid and on 29 LED screens in Amman.

A new promotion debuted at the Abdoun Shopping Mall in Amman this year, “Taste of America and Jordan.”  The food festival was co-sponsored by Jordan’s Ministry of Agriculture and the local U.S. Department of Agriculture Foreign Agricultural Service post and showcased American food products including U.S.-grown rice.

Chef Noura Abdelhadi, the USA Rice brand ambassador in Jordan who contributes recipe posts on USA Rice Jordanian social media for Instagram and Facebook, was on stage at the festival creating local dishes featuring U.S. rice.

Acting Deputy Chief of Mission Alan Eyre and several U.S. and Jordanian officials attended the festival and got to sample Chef Noura’s culinary creations, getting a “taste of America” with a Jordanian twist.
