ARLINGTON, VA – USA Rice is a long-time participant in, and supporter of, the USDA MyPlate initiative that works to improve the eating behaviors of everyone living in the United States to make positive public health impacts across a variety of demographics and life stages. Recently, USA Rice was recognized as a Silver MyPlate Leader for work on the initiative and to commemorate this achievement, and explain the programs in detail, podcast co-hosts Lesley Dixon and Michael Klein did a deep dive on the

USA Rice Senior Director of Domestic Promotion and MyPlate representative Cameron Jacobs joined the podcast and a guest and co-host, bringing with him Dr. Caree Cotwright, Director of Nutrition Security and Health Equity for the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) at USDA and Yetunde Akingbemi, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for the USDA FNS Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion.
The group discusses the USDA Strategic Partnership Program, food and nutrition security, health equity, the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, and more.
