ARLINGTON, VA – Podcast co-host Michael Klein is back from the Specialty Food Association’s Summer Fancy Food Show (see USA Rice Daily, July 5, 2024) and brought insights and interviews that he shares with fellow co-host Lesley Dixon on the latest episode of The Rice Stuff podcast, out now.

“U.S.-grown rice was definitely an appreciated and well-utilized ingredient,” Klein said.  “We need to keep drawing attention to it for consumers, but also for manufacturers who may be looking for a versatile, allergen-free, GMO-free, sustainably-grown ingredient that will take their products to the next level.”

Appearing in the episode are U.S.-grown rice users Maura Duggan from FancyPants Baking Company, Francie Caccovo of Olivia's Croutons, Bianca Letens from Dutch Waffle Company, and Hillside Lane Farm’s Cathy Bacon.  Also on the show is Christine Chang from Taiwan’s Better for You Foods, who, with her brother Danny, make a tasty rice snack under the brand name Captain Danny – the only drawback being they aren’t using U.S. rice.

All that, plus the Eagle Lake, Texas, field day, Bloody Marys, and more.

New episodes of The Rice Stuff are published on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month and can be found on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, and online at www.thericestuffpodcast.com.
