ARLINGTON, VA – The U.S. rice industry is trade dependent, with at least half the annual crop being exported to more than 120 countries around the globe.  The USA Rice trade policy team works to keep existing markets open, expand them, and help identify and unlock new markets.  Director of Trade Policy for USA Rice Karah Janevicius makes her podcast debut on Episode 99 of The Rice Stuff to explain how she keeps it all straight.

Co-hosts Lesley Dixon and Michael Klein ask Karah for her honest opinion on the World Trade Organization, the impact of tariffs, and about work she is doing with the International Trade Commission.

Other topics include non-tariff barriers to trade, India, Mexico’s new president, Karah’s travel tips, her favorite international destination, Fluffernutter sandwiches, and other bizarre foods.

New episodes of The Rice Stuff are published on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month and can be found on your favorite podcast services or www.thericestuffpodcast.com.
