• Arkansas Rice Farmers Get Annual Industry Report

    The Arkansas Rice Council and Arkansas Rice Farmers held their annual meeting and trade show yesterday here at the First National Bank Arena. During the program, USA Rice President & CEO Betsy Ward spoke about USA Rice efforts on behalf of the industry, keynote speaker Governor Asa Hutchinson spoke about his support and plans for Arkansas agriculture, and a panel discussed agricultural crop burning.

  • Arkansas Ag Task Force to Issue Voluntary Smoke Management Guidelines

    The Arkansas Rice Farmers board recently created a task force to develop crop management guidelines to address community concerns about smoke created when farmers burn row crop field refuse each fall. The task force had their second and final meeting earlier this week where they finalized the Voluntary Smoke Management Guidelines for Agricultural Burning.

  • Arkansas Ag Committee Discusses Fake Rice, Begins Drafting Resolution

  • TV Chef Sara Moulton’s Weeknight Meals Goes to Arkansas

Her New York-based production team joined up with technical and culinary crews out of Little Rock to take over 5 Oaks Lodge here for the episode called “Arkansas Eats.”

  • Arkansas Rice Goes to Town

    Progress is being made on a rice mural that will stand tall on a downtown building here by the end of the month. The mural project was coordinated by the Arkansas Rice Federation and Downtown Little Rock Partnership, and is one of multiple efforts by the two organizations working to bring the country and the city together.

    Shelby Bosnick of Moro, Miss Lee County Rice, was named 2017-18 Miss Arkansas Rice on Saturday at the Brinkley Convention Center. Bosnick, 17, is a senior at Lee Academy and is the daughter of Jason and Ashley Bosnick.
