• Northeast Louisiana Rice Growers Hold Annual Field Day

  • U.S. Rice Recognized at Food for Peace Celebration

    USA Rice was one of the selected exhibitors at a Capitol Hill celebration yesterday on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the U.S. Food for Peace program. Food for Peace has provided life-saving food assistance through the use of in-kind food donations including rice, to more than three billion people in vulnerable communities around the world.

The class met with USA Rice staff for a briefing on government affairs, trade, promotion and communications activities.

  • Rice Wednesday is Back in Mexico

    The popular USA Rice "Rice Wednesday" promotion is underway here at La Chilanguita, a chain with 11 restaurants in high traffic areas in Mexico City and Mexico State, including its most popular location, Masaryk, the most exclusive area in Mexico City. The promotion began last month and runs through December.

  • U.S. and Cuba Reestablish Diplomatic Relations

    USA Rice President & CEO Betsy Ward attended the ceremony officially opening the Cuban embassy here. Hundreds of people gathered to watch as Cuban Ambassador Jose Ramon Cabañas and Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla presided over the flag-raising ceremony at the building that has served as a Cuban "interests section," where officials process visas and conduct basic consular services.

  • USA Rice and School Nutrition: Exploring, Discovering, Inspiring

    The 2015 School Nutrition Association's (SNA) Annual National Conference kicked-off Monday with more than 5,500 school nutrition professionals, industry members, and allied partners coming together to share their passion for child nutrition.   • Margin Protection Now Available for Rice Producers

    Last Wednesday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture rolled out Margin Protection, a "next generation" crop insurance product. This long-anticipated product is now available to rice producers in select counties in California, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, and Mississippi for the 2016 crop year.
