  • Calling All #ThinkRice Images

    With harvest well underway in some rice states and quickly approaching in others, USA Rice is asking members to snap a picture of what’s happening on their farms and post it on their social media channels with the hashtag #ThinkRice. These images will be entered into a September National Rice Month contest hosted by USA Rice that will run from now until October 1.

  • Walmart Foundation Throws Support to Conservation of Ricelands

  • Arkansas RiceTec Field Day Brings the Heat

    When the 2016 Arkansas RiceTec Field Day started yesterday at 6:30 a.m. temperatures already were in the high 70s and by the time the field tours ended the mercury had climbed to the mid-90s. The heat didn’t seem to dampen the enthusiasm of growers and industry representatives there.

  • U.S. Rice Promotions Hit the Festival Circuit in Haiti

    One of the most important annual festivals in Haiti centers around the period of the voodoo pilgrimage – voodoo is a religion practiced by the majority of Haitians. These festivals, where people participate in mass rituals and pray to voodoo spirits, were held from July 22-26 in towns near Cap-Haïtian, the country's second largest city.

  • Next Generation of Chefs Gives Brown Rice a Thumbs Up

    This week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) released the 2016 Healthy Lunchtime Challenge Cookbook, comprised of recipes created by kid chefs across the country. The fifty-six MyPlate inspired recipes are the winning entries of the 2016 Healthy Lunchtime Challenge and 12 of those recipes include brown rice as a featured ingredient.
