ARLINGTON, VA – USA Rice has a new collection of vegetarian recipes designed to be completely prepped and cooked within thirty minutes.  The “Meatless Mains in Minutes” series provides quick-to-make flavorful and healthy plant-based meals with options that don’t scrimp on heartiness or alternative protein sources.  The series covers meals for lunch and dinner, and primarily uses U.S.-grown long grain rice while also encouraging the use of cooked leftover rice.

“According to Pinterest, beginning cooks searched for plant-based recipes eighty percent more this year than they did last year,” said Cameron Jacobs, USA Rice director of domestic promotion.  “We’re expanding our collection of vegetarian offerings in our recipe database to reach the more than 9.7 million Americans who follow plant-based diets.”

The five new rice dishes include full nutritional information and are available on the consumer recipe database at thinkrice.com.
