LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Emily Woodall is joining the USA Rice team as manager of rice conservation services working on Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) grants through the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, and will be based in Little Rock.

Emily was raised on a fourth-generation family cattle and turkey operation in central Arkansas. She attended Arkansas Tech University and received a B.S. in Agriculture Business with an emphasis on Animal Science, then ventured to the Texas Panhandle and received an M.S. in Animal Science from West Texas A&M University.

After graduation, Emily returned to the Natural State in search of a career that would allow her to give back to the agriculture industry.

“I am excited to have this opportunity to work with rice producers across the country and help them improve their operations in any way I can,” Woodall said.  “Conservation is very important to us all because as we know, if we don’t take care of the land now, how can we expect future generations to carry on our traditions.”
