USA Rice extends condolences to the family and friends of Rebecca “Becky” Goetz of Stuttgart, Arkansas, who passed away on September 14, at the age of 69.
Becky worked at Riceland Foods in the Rice Sales Division.
"I worked with Becky throughout her 42 years with Riceland,” said Carl Brothers, the company’s COO. “She was a true professional and more importantly a good friend to all of us. Becky will truly be missed and difficult to replace."
"Becky gave 42 years of her life in dedicated service to the farmer members of Riceland Foods,” said Terry Harris, Riceland’s Senior Vice President, Marketing & Risk Management. “I personally began working with Becky in 1977 and had the pleasure of working with her everyday I was in this office since 1981. I never asked her to do anything that did not get done and get done well. She made so many daily contributions to the betterment of the cooperative that seemed like very small things, until she is not here to do them. She will be missed by her many friends and especially her Riceland Family.”
Becky will be remembered for her tremendous contributions to her community, including her work with the Boy Scouts of America, St. Albans Episcopal Church, and the Grand Prairie Arts Council. She loved to travel, and was an accomplished artist and avid gardener.
Visitation will be held today from 5-7 p.m. at the Turpin Funeral Home, 1107 West 22nd Street, Stuttgart, AR. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 17, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Albans Episcopal Church, 12th and Main, Stuttgart, AR, with internment immediately following at Lone Tree Cemetery.
