New Members Join USA Rice

USA Rice welcomed two new members this summer.  Golden Ridge Rice Mills, LLC, joined the Rice Millers’ Association, and Valent USA LLC joined as an industry partner.  

Headquartered in Walnut Creek, California, Valent USA is a crop protection firm helping growers produce safe and abundant food and fiber crops, and maintain healthy green spaces, forests, and waterways.

"We are thrilled to have Valent USA come on board with USA Rice,” said USA Rice President & CEO Betsy Ward.  “Frank Carey is the research manager at Valent’s facility in Leland, Mississippi, and recently was elected to a two-year term as chairman of The Rice Foundation, so we’re pleased to be strengthening their participation in USA Rice.”

Golden Ridge Rice Mills, in Wynne, Arkansas, specializes in premium white rice but delivers a variety of products including rice bran and rice hulls.

"It’s great to see companies like this, eager to help their local farmers market U.S. rice domestically and abroad."
