WASHINGTON, DC – It’s not just agriculture practices that can continuously improve – people can too.
Last week, Cameron Jacobs, senior director of domestic promotion for USA Rice, earned his Certified Association Executive (CAE®) credential from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
To be designated as a Certified Association Executive, an applicant must have experience with nonprofit organization management, complete a minimum of 100 hours of specialized professional development, pass a stringent examination in association management, and pledge to uphold a code of ethics. Jacobs is one of just 121 association professionals who earned the CAE credential
this year. He joins more than 4,600 professionals worldwide who currently hold the certification.
“Congratulations to Cameron on achieving this important professional milestone,” said USA Rice President & CEO Betsy Ward. “It demonstrates his commitment to the profession and our organization, and we appreciate him for doing it.”
Jacobs joins his colleagues, Jeanette Davis, senior director of meetings and member services, who is a long-standing Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) under the auspices of the Event Industry Council, a global professional organization, and USA Rice CFO Rebecca Greenway who holds a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification.
“I am honored to be recognized as a CAE and would like to thank my colleagues and USA Rice members for helping me achieve this credential. It definitely took some hard work,” said Jacobs. “I am thrilled to apply what I have learned through the CAE process to further strengthen the different association functions of USA Rice and better serve the domestic rice industry.”
ASAE is a 103-year-old organization of more than 47,000 association professionals, including more than 1,750 through organization memberships, such as USA Rice. The CAE Program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
