LONDON, ENGLAND – The U.S. Sustainability Alliance, a voice for U.S. sustainable food and agricultural production overseas, has a new podcast episode highlighting the vital relationship between academia and agriculture in the U.S. and how it drives innovation.  

The focus in this episode of This is U.S. Sustainability is on the Louisiana rice industry with a visit to the world-renowned Rice Research Station near Crowley, where researchers have boosted the sustainability, nutritional value, quality, and profitability of the state’s rice crop for more than a century.  

There’s also an interview with fifth-generation farmers Paul and Fred Zaunbrecher in nearby Rayne to hear how the Station’s work has benefitted their rice and crawfish operation.
