MEMPHIS, TN – Over the weekend, downtown Memphis was buzzing with visitors for the 73rd Annual Mid-South Farm & Gin Show in the Renasant Convention Center.

This esteemed event, sponsored by the Southern Ginners Association and Delta Farm Press, showcases the latest agriculture technologies, equipment, and machinery, along with educational seminars addressing the critical issues facing today’s farmers.

This year’s show featured more than 300 exhibitors spanning three floors, but Rice Row – a collection of booths staffed by USA Rice, Arkansas Rice, Delta Rice Promotions from Mississippi, and Ducks Unlimited – is where the foot traffic was highest.

“Rice Row has become a destination for those attending the Gin Show, and this year didn’t disappoint,” said Kelly Robbins, executive director of Arkansas Rice, who played a lot of Rice Dice with visitors at his organization’s booth this year.  “Despite the challenges of tightening agricultural budgets and growing economic pressures on the farm, our rice farmers brought their families and staff for some networking with familiar faces, to learn about new technologies, and maybe find some adjustments that could help their bottom line.”

USA Rice has been a consistent exhibitor for more than a decade and already looks forward to next year’s event.

“It’s a free educational event that addresses current conditions in ag landscape and that brings folks together as they prepare to navigate the challenges of another growing season,” said Robbins.
