WASHINGTON, DC -- Last week, USA Rice Farmers Board Chair Kirk Satterfield attended the portrait unveiling for the 31st Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue.
“It was a great opportunity to speak with Secretary Perdue and thank him for all the work he did for the American farmer during his tenure at the U.S. Department of Agriculture,” said Satterfield. “We also talked about his brief acting career in the 2006 film, We Are Marshall, but agreed that he was much better suited for politics.”
The portrait will be hung in the Whitten Building here, along with those of previous USDA leaders.
