ARLINGTON, VA – Michele Deadwyler is joining the USA Rice team as Manager, Compliance & Grants Administration.
In this role, Michele will be overseeing financial and program compliance for the grants that USA Rice receives such as those from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service.
Michele has more than 20 years of experience with firms in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors around the Washington metropolitan area, and has recently been working in a leadership capacity as the controller for two for-profit companies where she tapped her leadership, management, and human resources skills.
Michele also has done accounting work with the Department of Justice and the Department of Veteran Affairs.
A Washington, DC, native, Michele now lives in Waldorf, Maryland. She has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, with a minor in Business Management, and a Master of Science in Human Resource Management.
Michele has one daughter who recently graduated from Hampton University, and she’s also a foster parent. She recently was named the 2022 Foster Parent of the Year for Charles County, Maryland. And as you might expect, she loves spending her free time with her foster children, both reunited and placed children in her care.
