GLENDALE, AZ -- USA Rice is proud to celebrate Beatriz Moreno-García’s recognition as Field to Market’s (FTM) 2022 Trusted Adviser of the Year for her outstanding leadership in advancing continuous improvement in the sustainability of U.S. rice production.
Providing valuable counsel to Arkansas farmers, Moreno-García champions sustainable solutions to reduce the environmental impact of rice production, and works with producers to help them try sustainable practices and monitor their improvements.
When asked why she chose rice for her studies, Moreno-García said, “rice is an important crop for global food consumption and has a lot of room for improvement in terms of environmental impact.”
The
Sustainability Leadership Awards are selected by the FTM Education and Outreach Committee. Each recipient demonstrates leadership in the pursuit of continuous improvement, resulting in measurable results and significant impact on both agriculture and the environment.
