LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS – It’s 106 days until the 2024 USA Rice Outlook Conference (December 8-10) opens here and as always, the educational programming is going to be top notch.

“We follow what we call ‘the Richard Fontentot Principle,’” said Michael Klein, USA Rice vice president of communications & strategic development. “Richard once told me that if we don’t provide practical programming that growers can take back to their operations and put to use, it’s going to be a difficult proposition to get them to leave the farm to join us.”

Klein said the programming team, guided by this strategy, is offering about 20 hours of education on three stages in the 40,000 square foot Exhibit Hall.

“Sessions that will particularly appeal to growers will be our Federal Regulatory Landscape Panel and the Crop Insurance Options session,” he said. “Whether we’re looking at Trump II or Harris I, there are going to be changes to regulations that directly impact every farm, food, transportation, nutrition, and more. It will be early in the process, but we have experts on tap to who will start sorting it out. And we don’t have to remind anyone how important crop insurance is.”

Klein added that USA Rice would be previewing additional sessions and speakers in the coming weeks, but urged everyone to register and book their hotel today to take advantage of Early Bird rates by visiting www.usarice.com/outlook. Information about exhibiting and sponsorship opportunities is also available there.
