ARLINGTON, VA – The Federal Reserve Bank is frequently in the news as the central bank sets monetary policy for the U.S. that typically impacts world markets, but do you understand what it actually does and how it does it? We thought we did. We were somewhat right.

Deborah Willenborg, USA Rice director of communications & marketing, took the co-host chair for this episode to join Michael Klein, host and USA Rice vice president of communications & strategic development, to unpack the Fed with special guest Matuschka Lindo Briggs.

Lindo Briggs is the senior vice president and regional executive of the Little Rock Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis where she works towards promoting a healthy economy, financial stability, and community development.

“Matuschka explained how her work and the Little Rock Branch contributes to the reports that inform the decisions of the Board of Governors of the Fed,” said Klein. “It was fascinating to take a look behind the curtain!"

Lindo Briggs talked about reaching out to the ag community, the Beige Book, the Fred, and more.

All that, plus Ponzi Schemes, The Bear, and the Law & Order television universe.

New episodes of The Rice Stuff are published on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month and can be found on your favorite podcast services or www.TheRiceStuffPodcast.com.
