Grigsby discusses a recent trip she took to the growing market of Peru and a reverse trade mission of Central American rice industry representatives who toured mid-south rice country as a part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Cochran Fellows program.
Bachmann, who had recently returned from the UK Rice Symposium in London, talked about the prospects of a U.S.-UK trade deal, efforts by some in the Central American industry to move the goalposts of trade deals, Indian trade malevolence, and more.
Klein and Dixon also discussed where quinoa comes from, the Asian emigration to Peru, and the upcoming USA Rice Outlook Conference.
