WASHINGTON, DC – Earlier this week, USA Rice welcomed back Sean Mullen as the director of finance.  Mullen served in various finance and administrative positions at USA Rice from 2014 until 2023 and is well versed in the industry and organization.

“We are excited for Sean’s return to USA Rice as a longtime member of our team and look forward to seeing him excel in this new role helping to lead our Finance Department,” said USA Rice President & CEO Peter Bachmann.

While Mullen jumps back into USA Rice work, Jim Guinn will be retiring at the end of the month from the role of director of Asia promotion programs after 16 years with USA Rice, including serving as vice president, international promotion.

Prior to joining USA Rice, Guinn spent more than two decades working in international promotions for the U.S. Soybean Export Council.  Guinn was recognized for his service during the USA Rice Council meeting in Indian Wells, California, in December.

“We wish Jim luck in his well-earned retirement,” said Bachmann.  “He can rest easy knowing that his contributions to our industry, particularly international promotions programs, will have a lasting impact for many years to come.”
