ARLINGTON, VA – A new partnership with the Fuzzy’s Taco Shop chain to promote National Rice Month (NRM) throughout September will increase consumer exposure to U.S.-grown rice and highlight the U.S.-grown difference to the restaurant’s customers.
The Grown In The USA (GITUSA) badge logo appears on Fuzzy’s digital menus and through a special promotion to encourage greater sales of burritos and rice bowls, food delivery service DoorDash will include a bag stuffer with each order highlighting U.S.-grown rice and showcasing the GITUSA logo.
“USA Rice is excited to partner with Fuzzy’s Taco Shop during National Rice Month to showcase the versatility and quality of U.S.-grown rice directly to their customers,” said Cameron Jacobs, USA Rice vice president of domestic promotion. “Together, we’re celebrating America’s rice farmers and U.S.-grown rice as the perfect foundation for Fuzzy’s flavorful and craveable burritos and rice bowls.”
As part of the partnership, Fuzzy’s will also distribute a loyalty email announcing the partnership, conduct outreach in local markets, feature a tile on the chain’s website highlighting the GITUSA badge logo, and promote NRM on co-branded social media.
“We’re fired up to celebrate National Rice Month with USA Rice! At Fuzzy’s, we don’t just roll burritos—we roll with the best, and that means U.S.-grown rice in every bowl and burrito,” said Emily Glickman, Fuzzy’s senior manager of marketing & communications. “It’s a fantastic way to highlight our quality ingredients to our guests.”
