Last year the Arkansas Rice Farmers agreed to provide support for a post-harvest residue management (fire/smoke) study. The lead researcher for the study,
Dr. John Nowlin, associate professor of geospatial technologies at Arkansas State University, has created an online survey to gather information about the practices producers perform and the extra time/expense associated with moving to non-burning practices.
Many thanks to those who have already taken the survey. However, Dr. Nowlin needs additional responses to make more statistically relevant claims so if you are a farmer, please complete the
survey as soon as possible. It takes about 15 minutes and all information gathered is anonymous.
